Goal: Arizona Students Qualified For Arizona Jobs!

LONG TERM VISION

The long-term vision of the High Technology Industry Cluster/School To Work Partnership
(HTIC/STW) is to have a work force that the high technology companies need to succeed in
the global market of today and tomorrow. In order to achieve this vision, the work force skills
needed by the high technology industry must be matched with the career path development of
students beginning in kindergarten through college. Students coming out of the K-16 education
system must be well-educated critical thinkers who are motivated to participate and be successful
in their careers.

STRATEGY

To have a system that connects high technology companies with existing and new School To
Work programs in schools from K16 throughout Maricopa County and leverages off of other
School To Work programs, other industry clusters, and other schools. Also, the objective is
for the "School To Work" process to become a well accepted educational component of our
system.
