When I look at the list of the top search terms each week, I always find it interesting that search engines and well known web sites are among the top items which people search for
These well known names, search engines, and web sites seem to make the top 20 list each week:
google
ebay
yahoo
paris hilton
health
jokes
mapquest
yahoo.com
games
dictionary
britney spears
search engines
pamela anderson
hotmail
anime
lyrics
carmen electra
maps
I can understand the need to search for some people by name, so the paris hilton, britney spears, pamela anderson, and carmen electra listings make sense but what I don’t understand at all is … why do people search for google, search for yahoo, for yahoo.com, for ebay, and for mapquest? If you have been to google.com one time, don;t you remember that it is at www.google.com? Ebay has always been at http://www.ebay.com/ and I don’t see a reason for it to move any time soon.
Mapquest, the provider of online maps and a service for driving directions has been at www.mapquest.com for many years and Yahoo! Inc is sticking with http://www.yahoo.com/ as far as I can tell and Hotmail also seems to be staying put at http://www.hotmail.com/
Part of the reason for this might be that many people type addresses of search engine web sites into the search box instead of the putting a search engine address in the address bar. Another reason might have to do with the way many people set up a default search using their favorite search engines and then when they mis-type an address into the address bar, it searches using the default search engine.
Whatever the reason, the problem is not going away and I suspect we will see google, yahoo, ebay, hotmail, yahoo.com, mapquest, and search engines high ranking in search results for many years to come.

An Intergovernmental Agreement for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification between the cities of Phoenix and Tucson, and the Arizona Department of Transportation has been signed. The agreement enables all certifying agencies in Arizona to offer a one-stop program for firms applying for DBE certification through the Arizona Unified Certification Program (AZUCP).
The DBE program is intended to remedy past and current discrimination against socially and economically disadvantaged business owners. It fosters equal opportunity in all Department of Transportation-assisted contracts that include highway, transit and airport programs.
“Since 1995, the cities of Phoenix and Tucson, and the Arizona Department of Transportation have participated in a limited reciprocity agreement that allowed applicants to complete an application with any one of the partners and request the file be sent to other participating jurisdictions. These jurisdictions made independent decisions on certification eligibility,” said Carole Coles Henry, director, city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity. “Under the new arrangement, the AZUCP partners have adopted a uniform DEB certification process that allows small business owners to apply for certification with one agency and become certified statewide.
DBE certification is open to qualifying business owners who own at least 51 percent of the firm and belong to one of the following groups: African-American, Hispanic, Asian-American, Native-American and Caucasian females. To become a certified DBE, businesses must be operational, owned by a citizen or legal resident of the United States, and be a small business as defined by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
There are more than 600 businesses currently DBE certified by the city and approximately 1,000 statewide.

Chicken with Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Rosemary and Goat Cheese
4 (8-ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper
1/2 cup goat cheese (about 3 ounces)
1/4 cup roughly chopped, oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes
2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Remove tenders from chicken breasts and
set aside for another use. Pound breasts to a uniform thickness,
between 1/4- and 1/2-inch thick. Lay breasts skin side down. Season
each with salt and pepper.
Spread each with about 2 tablespoons of goat cheese, 1 tablespoon of
sun-dried tomatoes, and 1/2 teaspoon rosemary. Starting at the wider
end, roll breasts up, securing with a toothpick. Place on a rimmed
baking sheet and cook for 30 minutes, or until chicken registers 165
degrees on a meat thermometer. Let breasts rest 5 minutes before
serving.
Serves 4.
Per Serving: 334 Calories; 8g Fat; 59g Protein; 2g Carbohydrate; 1g
Dietary Fiber; 152mg Cholesterol; 268mg Sodium.

Crocked Pineapple Chicken
6 whole chicken breast halves skinned & split
1 dash black pepper
paprika to taste
1 can 20 oz pineapple tidbits or chunks in juice
2 TBS Dijon mustard
1 TBS soy sauce
1 clove garlic — minced
Arrange chicken in bottom of crockpot.
Sprinkle with pepper and paprika.
In a small bowl, combine drained pineapple
tidbits, mustard and soy sauce.
Pour over chicken.
Add minced garlic.
Cover and cook on LOW 7-9 hours or HIGH 3-4 hours.
Makes 6 serving.
